UNISON campaigns for decent pay in universities – including a living wage for the lowest paid – as well as an eradication of the gender pay gap and to stop the use of zero hour contracts and the casualisation of work.

UNISON is re-balloting members in 51 higher education employers and their associated subsidiaries and private companies in our dispute over the imposed national HE pay award for 2022-23.

Ballots will open on 30 November for Goldsmiths’ UNISON branch and we encourage our members to vote yes to strike for the pay we deserve!

The University and Colleges Employers Association have made their final pay offer: a below-inflation pay rise of 3% for most Higher Education staff and between 9% and 3% for those on pay points 3 to 19. They didn’t offer any more during the dispute process and have imposed this pay increase on 1 August 2022.
