Goldsmiths UNISON is committed to saving jobs and we remain of the view that compulsory redundancies should be taken off the table. We have made repeated collective efforts to remind SMT that, due to the better financial outlook of the organisation and the combined severance package, compulsory redundancies are not necessary. As such we will be balloting our members for industrial action and the industrial action ballot opens from today, 18 January – 8 February 2022, for staff directly affected by the Professional Services Blueprint (PSB) proposals.
Postal ballots will be arriving in the mail over the next few days so members affected by the PSB proposals should look out for them and remember to return them once you have cast your vote. Irrespective of whether you are affected by these proposals or not please continue to encourage your colleagues to join UNISON – the greater our number, the stronger we are!
If you have any questions or queries regarding the ballot, please do contact the branch for further information.
In solidarity,
Goldsmiths’ UNISON branch
