Dear Members,

Confirmation of Ballot Result / Strike Dates

Members who have been balloted as a result of being directly affected by Tranche 1 of the PSB proposals should have now received confirmation of the result. If you experience difficulties in accessing this, then please contact us and we will be able to issue the letter upon request.

The outcome of the ballot was a clear mandate for strike action, with a 65% turnout. Following a branch committee meeting, UNISON has issued notification that it intends to call members to strike action on 2 – 4 March 2022. Affected members will be shortly invited to meet to discuss the dispute and action – please keep an eye out for an invitation.

The branch remains convinced that our position – that no compulsory redundancies are necessary, and that the pay of affected staff should be protected – is reasonable and achievable in the current circumstances.

To ensure you continue to receive the correct communications relevant to your role, please ensure your membership details are up to date. You can do this via https://my.unison.org.uk/

In solidarity,
Goldsmiths UNISON Branch Committee
